Graduated in Film And Media at QMU, Scotland, Cilléin has a PG Cert in Creative Thinking, Innovation and Entrepreneurship from TCD, Dublin. Cilléin’s acting training began under Kathleen Warner Yeates in 2014 and he has been working for screen and stage since. Cilléin has also written and directed several short films, including From Childhood’s Hour (2012) and Clear The Air (2018). They have a BA in Foreign Languages and Literature and began directing for film in 2016. Chiara has written a number of feature and short films. Their Arts Council funded short La Via Di Casa/The Way Home won Best Irish Poetry Short at Bloomsday Film Festival in 2025. Chiara’s feature directorial debut, The New Music, won the Spirit Of IndieCork Award in 2019 and is distributed Worldwide by SMP Distribution. Their feature screenplay 11 Ragman Street was developed with the assistance of Screen Ireland.
